Hand painting and printing with fiber reactive dyes on natural fiber fabrics. Original design women's clothing and accessories. Workshops, custom orders, custom fabrics for interiors and remnants for your own projects.
"My current focus is on combining hard edge(silk screened) and soft edge(painted) patterns together to create lively intricate surfaces. I often use similar colors so the whole effect is rich and understated, not loud. I am working on delicate and lightweight silks as well as heavy, textural silk fabrics, My newest fabric is a silk seersucker I call Frothy Silk.
I am also drawing and painting the landscape often, these days. I am making paintings on canvas of my expressionist/realistic images. I have not worked like this for a number of years and it is inspiring to see how my eye and skills have evolved.
I am teaching this summer for the first time in a couple of years. There will be a whole day silk painting and stenciling workshop on August 9th, in my studio in Edgewood. Contact me for information on more workshops."
